Welcome
The Indicator Registry is a central repository of information on indicators used to track the AIDS epidemic and the national, regional and global response. The registry is managed by UNAIDS provides professionals in monitoring and evaluation with a comprehensive source for complete definitions of key indicators organized in a highly versatile database.
The work on the Indicator Registry is ongoing. The next steps will include (1) using a new Indicator Standards Tool developed by the UNAIDS Global Monitoring and Evaluation Reference Group (MERG) to review the indicators included in the Registry to ensure that all indicators included in the registry are quality-assured, and (2) to enter more quality-assured MERG-endorsed indicators into the Registry.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Users are strongly urged to register on the site. Registered users have access to expanded functionality, including the ability to build indicator sets and export indicators to PDF, Word, Excel and IXF3 formats.

Navigation
The HOME page provides users with multiple ways to navigate the Registry, including the search-by-topic functionality in the grey box below. The left column in this box lists nine core topic areas. Selecting any one of these topic areas will generate an appropriate set of sub-topics in the middle column. A definition of a selected topic or a sub-topic will appear in the right column.
In addition, users can generate an alphabetical list of all indicators in the Registry by clicking on BROWSE INDICATORS in the tool bar. And selecting SEARCH on the tool bar provides other ways to find particular indicators, including free-text search.
